Peace bonds: You can now apply remotely
As many of you are aware, provincial courts have not been hearing peace bond applications during the pandemic because of reduced court operations.
This has now changed: as of July 19th, anyone wishing to apply for a peace bond can do so remotely. Applications can be completed and submitted online, and any necessary meetings with a Justice of the Peace can happen remotely. The peace bond hearing will be held in accordance with processes at each provincial court.
Those who prefer to make their application in-person will be accommodated to do so.
